A Good Soundtrack

Alex visited again... this time sans any friends. She was here from about mid-day Monday until shortly before sunrise Wednesday morning. I want to write about her visit -- and will. However, I've gotta score some computer time to do so. Granted, I'm online now... but I'm at work and a fire station isn't exactly the best venue for entry writing.

However, I will say that Alex brought with her a mix CD and gave me a copy. I guess the mix CD is becoming a trademark of our friendship. I gave her one for her birthday. We put one together on her first visit here in October. And now I'm sitting here playing the one she left for me. I will say that it's the first CD I've had in a while that generates real emotion from me. I'm listening to the words... and I see the reasons some of these songs were chosen...

I Can't Take You Anywhere - Toby Keith
I Shall Believe - Sheryl Crow
Love Her Like That - Brooks & Dunn
Take Me Away From Here - Tim McGraw
Here Without You - 3 Doors Down
How Far - Martina McBride
Angel - Sarah Mclachlan
Baby, I Was Wrong - Jennifer Hanson
The First Cut Is The Deepest - Sheryl Crow
You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like That - Toby Keith
Time With You - Billy Currington
Blurry - Puddle of Mudd
You Still Move Me - Dan Seals
Now - Jessica Andrews
When You Love Me - Martina McBride
Need To Be Next To You - Sara Evans
You Had Me At Hello - Kenny Chesney
