As of 4 p.m. yesterday, I'm employed.

Actually, I'm not employed yet. I have, however, been extended an offer by a fire department a couple of hours down the road and have accepted said offer. I'm supposed to find out more Thursday.

There was much celebrating yesterday complete with cake, pizza, champagne and my two little cousins running around the house. Today is more somber, because I'm thinking of all the ways that the job could fall through. Yeesh. Maybe I need to be medicated. :)

But seriously, this is a really cool thing. Two fire departments actually called yesterday to offer me employement and I got to turn one down. Getting to make a decision about such things makes a guy feel pretty good.

Anyway, I'm off to take the rugrats on a fire station tour. There is more to be told about the great job hunt later. Stay tuned.
