I dropped my ride off at the dealership Thursday so that they could diagnose the problem. Four business days later, all they can tell me is that it'll probably be bad. The thing is... they don't know how bad.
It's a pain in the ass to be without a personal mode of transportation in these parts. Oakdale is anything but a major metropolitan area and our public transit system is limited. I was okay with that, for the most part, because it was still easy to get around campus. It was easy, you see, because I had a bicycle. (Please note the use of the word, "had")
Shortly before 2 p.m. today, I wrecked that bicycle.
I was crossing a pedestrian bridge not really designed for bicycles. I saw a pedestrian near the end of the bridge, so I moved over to one side. Something on my bike caught the railing on the bridge and down I went. I'm okay. My bike, on the other hand, is just a tad under the weather.
The truck is broken. The bike is broken. What's next?
