Good Philosophy

Fred LeBlanc's Rules For Life:

"Don't stick around with anyone who doesn't realize how special you are."
"Life is short, so have as much fun as possible."
"Believe in yourself and anything is possible."

"Are you with me?"

I was incredibly tired last night... But, for some reason, I resisted the urge to sleep. I was up past 1 a.m., but I was able to get up this morning and also be slightly ahead of schedule. I was dressed and ready to go 30 minutes before I needed to leave, so I set my alarm for 6:25 and laid down.

I had a crazy ass dream that involved me living in a two-story house with Jessie and having some cute girl breaking into it. I remember trying to chase her but being unable to spread my legs enough to run. I finally chased her down, refused to let her go and then I woke up. The first thing I noticed was how bright the sun seemed... You know, entirely too bright to be 6:30 in the morning. That was because it was 7:30 -- 30 minutes after my shift was supposed to start.

For some reason, I'd set the alarm for an hour later than I should have. I called the station and let the other guys know my situation. I drove faster than normal, but the increased traffic kept my commute at 15-minutes. Luckily, I snuck in without much fanfare... And outside of some serious ribbing, I escaped unscathed from the incident. Whew.
