For some reason, Sara Astruc has always reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw. Perhaps it's the single writer living in New York City with curly hair thing... but the connection has always been there. I guess I should reverse that and say that Carrie reminds me of Sara -- since Sara is the only real person of the two. But that doesn't matter. For the purpose of this entry, I'm sure you get the point.

This week has officially become Sex and the City week at casa de Fletcher. I was fortunate enough to have HBO briefly back in 1998 and remember seeing of or two of the first episodes. But, with the exception of flipping channels through TBS, I haven't seen much of the show since. I thought it important to remedy that. I've rented both volumes of the first season and I'm well on my way to filling the void in the pop culture lobe of my brain.

Thinking about Sarah Jessica Parker looking like Sara Astruc got me thinking back to the early days of Astruc's site -- Perfect Way. At one time (perhaps it's still online), she had a list of all of the men that she'd been involved with. That got me to thinking about my list. I'd saved a rough draft of The List as a LiveJournal entry once. I went looking for it and found it at 3:23 this morning. I took a quick look at the dateline on the entry -- "Sunday, July 27th, 2003 03:23 am" Am I the only one to consider that bizarre? Or is the fact that I consider it bizarre simply a bigger sign that I should sleep?
